CanSkate

Our CanSkate program Exceeded Skate Canada Delivery Standards

Congratulations you have made it to the next level

 CanSkate is a dynamic learn-to-skate program that focuses on fun, participation and basic skill development. 

In CanSkate, skaters learn basic skills to prepare them for any ice-skating sport or recreational skating 

Skaters receive instruction from certified coaches and program assistans.

Skate Canada’s Learn-to-Skate Flagship program is Canada's #1

  

Participants earn ribbons and badges as Agility, Balance and Control Skating Skills are progressively being mastered. This unique intro-to-ice environment is designed to stimulate and maintain interest and enthusiasm among skaters, allowing participants to gain the physical competency and confidence to remain active for life

What do you need to participate?

Layering of clothing is recommended as skaters get warm after a while.

skaters below CanSkate Stage 5 must wear CSA approved hockey helmets.

Bike, ski, or other sports helmets are not accepted.

Club or fitted jackets is a great way to go!

What can skaters bring with them on the ice?

No gum and/or food, on the ice.

All phones need to stay in the dressing room.

What time should skater arrive at the arena?

Consider time to warm up, get dressed and put skates on. 

A good estimate of 10-15 minutes before Ice time.
